Dear Future Self, Sincerely Me
These lyrics speak to my heart- The Unreleased version with Chris Martin in it is love.
Why does it really matter what colour your skin is? Or how big or small your eyes are? What higher power you believe in? Or the clothes you wear? How rich or poor you are? None of it matters when one cannot simply believe in being human. And the truth of the matter is, no matter what we do, none of us will ever be identical. We will always find differences, and the only thing that remains mutual in this world is that we all belong here, we were all put on this earth and called human beings. And we will never ever find peace until we respect the basis and origination of our existence. We are all human being, we all breathe, live, eat, love, lose, feel pain, we all have desires, we all have emotions. None of those emotions that come straight from the heart, will ever ask before feeling. Love has no boundaries, neither does hate. We love regardless, and we hate regardless. But truth be told, once you tell your heart to understand the power of unity and the simple notion of existing as one race; the human race, even the heart listens, and it does ask.
Racism, hate, discrimination, extremism has made our world spiral downward into a dark tunnel; and its always up to us whether we want to see the light at the end of that tunnel or not.
